Ella Rolls Over - Back to Tummy

Ella started rolling over from her back to her tummy on September 19th, one day after she turned 4 months old! She must have seen Emma doing it and wanted to prove that she could do it too! They are so cute together rolling all over the carpet.

Emma started rolling over from her back to her tummy on September 17, one day shy of 4 months old! I shot the video on the 18th, so this is Emma at exactly 4 months.

Emma loves Pat-A-Cake

Both Ella and Emma love it when we sing them nursery rhymes and play games with them. Lately Emma has been trying to distract me away from Ella and hogging all the attention. In this video I'm playing pat-a-cake with Emma and trying to do it with Ella too but Emma won't let me. At least she's hogging the attention by being cute and not crying! Emma - 3 months old!

Ella blows raspberries!

Ella is hilarious when she blows raspberries, she gets so into it and tries so hard. She cracks me up! Ella - 3 months old

Hannah's first day of preschool

Hannah had her first day of preschool today, she's in the 4-5 year old class this year at Lake Edge. She said she loved it and had a great day! She couldn't remember anything they did today but she did tell me "I dreamed of everything that I wish for...I wish to marry a prince, I wish to see a dinosaur, I wish to catch a pink fish and I wish to go to a concert!" I asked her a few follow up questions just to get a few more details about her wishes...the pink fish has red fins, she wants to see the Wiggles in concert and the prince has to be nice too! I'm just glad she had a happy day at school!
She's going three days a week this year, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9-12!

Sleep

Yay, the twins are officially sleeping through the night now!!! Emma has been sleeping through the night for 3 weeks now and Ella has done it two nights in a row! I'm so excited, I can hardly believe that we are past this huge milestone! Everyone says it's amazing that they are sleeping through the night so early but to me it felt like forever because Hannah started sleeping through the night at 5 weeks old and Olivia at 10 weeks old. Good sleeping habits are just in their genes, Darin and I both love and require a lot of sleep!

Vegetable Battle - Olivia

For some reason Olivia decided she didn't like vegetables anymore a few months ago and just flat out refused to eat them. So we've had many battles over the past few weeks that nobody won...lots of kicking, screaming and going to bed hungry. I always serve the girls in courses, vegetables first and so on...so if she didn't eat her vegetables then nothing else was served. She's very stubborn so it took awhile but she finally learned that I'm more stubborn. Yay, I finally won the vegetable war with Olivia...she's now been happily (no screaming at least) eating her vegetables for over a week.

Ella Rolls Over

Ella rolled over several times today and I finally caught it on video! She's such a wiggle worm that she accidentally rolled over about a month ago but today is the first day she did it on purpose several times. She's rolling from her tummy to her back at 3 months, 4 days old...Yay Ella!!!!

Endless Sucking - Olivia

Olivia sucks her thumb while going to sleep, while sleeping, while watching tv, while playing...basically all the time. She's 2 years old now and we need to put an end to all this sucking. I stated by putting one of Darin's sock over her thumb. It seemed to work but she hated it. You'll be able to see in the photos below that she tried to suck her thumb with the sock on and she tried to bite the sock off. I need some new ideas please! This is going to take a lot of patience!

Twins - 3 Months Old

Ella and Emma are 3 months old today! Wow, time sure does fly by when you are sooooo busy raising 4 kids! I took these photos today!
Ella is doing awesome! She is such a happy, content baby! She does extremely well on her tummy and is very near rolling over in both directions. She smiles and coos all the time but especially when looking at me or Emma. She loves to take naps in her swing and play in the jumperoo! She has big bright eyes and a smile that takes my breath away! She eats 6 ounces every 2.5-3 hours and barely dribbles any milk down the sides of her mouth....she's gotten way better at that! She's also my star napper! Ella's favorite toy is a mirror, she can look at herself for hours!
Emma is amazing! She loves being snuggled! Emma talks up a storm, we can have conversations that last an hour! She's not a very predictable napper, sometimes she naps for 10 minutes and other times 2 hours. She is now sleeping a full 12-13 hours at night though! She loves to sit up and look around, she also loves to play on her back. Her favorite toy is a star that has twinkling lights, she can stare at it forever. She eats 6 ounces every 2.5-3 hours and is gaining weight like a champ! She has the most beautiful eyes with peek-a-boo eyelashes...I love them!
